Settings

Settings is where you set the company up once: who you are, what the company is called, how quotes and invoices look, and how the app behaves. After that you rarely need to come back — the jobs, the quotes and the accounting pull what they need from here.

Everything sits on one page, split into groups named for what they are about. The company you are working in right now is shown at the top; to switch companies you use the sidebar, not this page.

Opening settings

You

The things that are yours, whichever company you are in:

• Notifications — what you are told about, on push or email. More in Notifications.
• Language and appearance — language, colours and light or dark.
• Support and channels — help and the way to reach us.

At the top of the group is your profile — name, role and job title. Your password is managed from your own account; it does not live in the app.

The company

The company itself — only those who run the company see and change this:

• Company profile — name, organisation number and the address that ends up on quotes and invoices.
• Employees and roles — add the team and give each role what the job needs. Its own page: The team, roles and access.
• Subscription — what the company pays for. Everyone who runs the company sees the status; only the owner can change it.
• Modules — what the company has switched on, such as quotes and accounting.
• Company inbox — the email address where receipts and enquiries land. Its own page: Company inbox.
• Integrations — the link to an accounting system and other services.

Quotes and invoices

The defaults new quotes and invoices inherit, so you do not set them every time:

• Logo and colour — the logo and colour on your documents.
• Quote layout — what shows on a quote: price, quantity, photos, VAT and totals.
• Payment terms and validity — how many days the customer has to pay, and how long a quote stands.
• Standard texts — terms and a note added automatically.
• Payment Schedule — split the payment into instalments when a job is large.
• Certificates — your approvals, ready to show on a quote.

The app

At the bottom is the app itself:

• Invite friends — share Tredco with other tradesmen.
• Terms and conditions — the terms you use Tredco under.
• The version line shows which version you are running, and turns into the update button when a new one is ready.

On the phone you find Sign out at the very end, with a confirmation — so you do not sign out by accident.

If you see a Workshop group at the very bottom, that is administrator tooling most people never need to touch.

One row, one grammar

Every row is alike: the name of what you can change, a smaller line below with what is set up today, and a chevron in. So you see at a glance whether the company profile is filled in, whether the inbox is set up, or how many of the team are active — without opening anything.
