Connect DNB to Tredco
When you connect DNB to Tredco, Tredco sends the bank two things: your user ID in DNB's business netbank and the company's organisation number. DNB checks that they belong together and that the user has access to at least one account in that company. With one company and one netbank, it usually just works. With several companies in DNB, it's easy to get the pair wrong.
When DNB finds no accounts
In DNB, one person can switch between several business netbanks, one per company. The access you see applies to the netbank you're in right now. If you use a user ID that has no access to accounts in the company you're connecting, or grant access while you're in the wrong company, DNB finds no accounts for that pair. The connection then stops with a message saying DNB "found no PSD2-accessible payment accounts for this corporate user ID".
Nothing is connected or changed when that happens. You fix it in DNB and try again.
Connecting DNB the right way
- Log in to DNB and choose «Nettbank bedrift/Bytt nettbank» (business netbank / switch netbank) on the right of the front page.
- Pick the company with the same organisation number as your company in Tredco.
- Find the user ID shown on the right of the front page in that business netbank. It's two letters and five digits, for example AB12345. Use the ID DNB shows here, even if you already have one, and not your national identity number.
- Stay in that same business netbank while you check or change access. Access is granted by an administrator of the netbank, under «Administrasjon» (Administration).
- Give the user access to view at least one current account, or another account payments can be made from. This is what the error in Tredco calls ‘View account’ access.
- If you'll pay bills from Tredco, the user also needs the right to pay from the account. Which rights that takes depends on how your netbank is set up. Not every user needs every right.
- Save, and check that the account shows up in «Kontooversikt» (account overview) in the business netbank.
- Go back to Tredco and enter the user ID from step 3 in the user ID field (Bruker-ID i nettbanken). Tap Connect the bank, or Try again if the last attempt stopped.
- If you can see the account in DNB but Tredco still says the bank found no accounts, wait a few minutes and try once more. The change applies straight away inside the netbank, but we've seen it take a little while to reach the connection itself. DNB doesn't state a fixed time for this.
- If you get the same error again, contact DNB or Tredco support.
Good to know
- Not every account can be connected. Tredco fetches accounts through PSD2, the rules that let the bank share account information when you consent. Not every DNB product is available that way, so an account you see in the netbank can be missing in Tredco.
- Access is per user. When several users share an account, they can have different access to it. Being able to view the account is enough to fetch the balance and movements. Paying from it takes more.
- DNB's bank integration is something else. DNB also offers a direct bank integration for accounting systems, ordered in the netbank. You don't need it for Tredco. Tredco connects through ZTL with the consent you give with BankID.
- The company and the account access are checked separately. The first time, Tredco may ask you to verify the company with Start company verification. ZTL runs that check. Whether the user has access to the accounts is DNB's check. A verified company doesn't mean the account access is in place.
Once the bank is connected, Tredco pulls in the balance and movements by itself. The access has to be renewed every few months, see How the business is doing. To pay bills from Tredco, read The payment queue.
