Company inbox

Suppliers email their invoices, your accountant asks for a voucher, and receipts pile up in your inbox. The company inbox gives your company one fixed email address you can forward all of that to — the assistant reads it in, files it and books the voucher, just like when you photograph a receipt in the field.

You'll find it under Company in settings, as the Company inbox row.

Set up the address

Your company chooses its own address. Tredco suggests one, but you can write your own — for example invoices or your company name.

The company inbox page in settings with the Addresses card and a suggested email address on tredco.app
Settings → Company inbox — pick the company address with one tap, or write your own.
  1. Open Company inbox in the app — or tell the assistant and it takes you there.
  2. Under Addresses you see the suggestion. Keep it, or write your own part before the @.
  3. Tap Use this address. The address is now active.
  4. Forward an invoice or a receipt to it, and it shows up in the app.

The address uses lowercase letters, digits and single hyphens. If you need to change it later, add the new address first and deactivate the old one — that gives you a clean hand-over, and anyone who saved the old address gets a notice that it no longer works.

Who is allowed to send

Not just anyone gets in — only senders your company trusts. Everyone on the team is always allowed, without you lifting a finger. Under Allowed senders you see Employees at the top, and under Added by the company you add the others you want to let in:

  • The accountant who sends you vouchers
  • Suppliers that invoice by email
  • A private address you send from yourself

Tap Add sender and enter the address. You can also allow a whole domain (company.no), but then everyone who sends from there gets in — so public mail providers such as gmail.com cannot be allowed as a domain; add the exact address instead.

See what came in

Under Recent email you see everything that reached the address, each with a badge:

Filed — read in and put in its place.

Processing — the assistant is working on it now.

Needs attention — the assistant is missing something from you (see below).

Rejected — the sender was not on the list, or the address was deactivated.

Did an email arrive from a sender you know, but it was rejected? Tap Allow this sender right on the row, and forward the email again — then it gets processed.

When the assistant needs an answer

Sometimes the assistant can't place an email on its own — it's missing an answer from you. Then those who manage the company settings get a push notification, Email needs your attention, and the email shows as Needs attention in the log. You answer right in the app, and the assistant processes the email again. You turn this notification on or off under notifications.

Who can change what

Everyone on the team can see the company inbox, copy the address and answer the assistant's questions — because anyone might be the one who knows the answer. But adding and removing addresses and senders is only for the owner and administrators. If you see no buttons to change anything, that's why — you can still use the inbox in full.

Everything that comes in here ends up as tidy vouchers in the books. See invoices and accounting for what happens next with a supplier invoice.
